The Spinoza Circle in Turkey was founded with the aim of forming working groups, issuing national and international publications, organizing seminars, conferences, and other philosophical activities, bringing together Spinoza enthusiasts in all these undertakings, enabling an exchange of ideas in the spirit of joint work, and cooperating with Spinoza communities in other countries. The idea of the Circle was born at meetings at Galatasaray University in Istanbul and the name “Spinoza Studies Circle” was first used then. (See the About us section for more)


Maxime Rovere will participate in two events organized by the Department of Philosophy of Galatasaray University and the Faculty of Law of Kadir Has University in Istanbul in collaboration with the Spinoza Circle in Turkey on the occasion of the Turkish translation of his book entitled Spinoza: methodes pour exister (CNRS-Editions, 2013), which will soon be published by Dost Kitabevi.
